How large is the Park?
Marine Holiday Park is regarded in the industry as a medium-large Park with circa 500 caravans.
Do You Allow Tents and Tourers?
Sorry, we do not have facilities for tents or tourers on the Park.
How much do caravans cost?
We have caravans to suit all budgets from a used starter caravan at £6995 to £50,000.
Can I bring my caravan on from another site?
Yes, subject to certain criteria we welcome owners from other Parks.
How long is your season?
The season at Marine Holiday Park is 10.5 months. The park is open from March 1 st – January 10 th .
What are the annual running costs?
The site fees for 2008 / 2009 season are payable in December @£2510, or alternatively £1355 in December and £1355 in March. Rates, water and security are payable in June @ £470. Gas is £65 per quarter payable in December, March, June and September. Electric is purchased with a card that are available in Reception and the Shop.
Can I have decking installed on my caravan?
In most cases you will be able to have decking installed; before construction begins you must have your plans approved in writing by the Park to ensure that this complies with the Park rules and fire regulations.
Can I speak to other caravan owners on the Park?
We always encourage you to talk to our customers as we believe that they are the best form of advertising for the Park and we are certain they will tell you what a great place Marine Holiday Park is.
Can I pick which pitch my caravan is sited on?
Yes, subject to availability and suitability, you can choose any vacant plot you like. If you see a caravan you like and you want it moving to another plot there is sometimes a charge
Is there an age limit on the caravans?
From March 2007 the Park will implement a 15 year age limit on all caravans sold from that point onwards. This will not impact existing customers.
What happens when my caravan is 15 years old?
When your caravan gets to 15 years old you will be able to choose to sell your caravan off site or ask the Park to find you a suitable replacement. If you choose, you can keep your caravan on for the 16 th season while a replacement caravan is found for you.
Can we sell the caravans ourselves?
Yes, but you must so in line with the Code of Practice issued by the BH&HPA and the person who buys your caravan needs to be approved by one of the Park Directors.
Do I own the land my caravan is situated on?
No, but you have the right to use the pitch as long as you pay your Site Fees and abide by the Park Rules or until your contract expires.
Can I rent out / sub-let my caravan?
Marine Holiday Park does allow commercial letting
Do you offer finance?
Yes, we can give written quotes should you require, we generally use Capital Bank, The Funding Corporation and Black Horse Finance when proposing loans. For more information contact our Sales Team, or read our Finance page. |
Can I arrange my insurance through the Park?
It is a requirement of Marine Holiday Park that all caravans have insurance. If you choose not to insure through the Park you will required to provide a copy of your insurance documents each year. Most of our customers have opted for the Parks preferred supplier Jardine Lloyd Thompson Compass Insurance, who offer great service at a competitive, reasonable price.
Do we get any type of agreement or licence for the pitch?
From January 2007 we will use the written Code of Practice and Licence Agreement, developed by the BH&HPA and the NCC for all new customers and any existing customer who would prefer this agreement.
Future developments at Marine Holiday Park
We have welcomed the very positive response we have had from the developments that have already taken place on the Park, including a £250,000 refurbishment of the pool area, ‘Shipwrecked' indoor toddlers play area, new Mermaid's poolside snack bar and outdoor multi court area.
We are continually improving the Park, this is an ongoing process.
Is there anything else we need to know about the Park?
Marine Holiday Park came under new ownership in February 2007. The Park is only five minutes away from the train station and ten minutes away from Rhyl's golden beaches. The beautiful mountain range of Snowdonia is less than an hour away.
Can I stay in my caravan in the Closed Season?
The Park Licence issued by the local Council insists that we have a closed period as the Park is not meant for residential use. So, whilst you can't stay in your caravan you can visit it from time to time to ensure that everything is in order.
Can I make my caravan my main residence?
Sorry no, our Site Licence does not permit this.
Can my friends and family visit me?
You can have up to 12 named, photographed people on a pass, which allows them to use the Park facilities.
What facilities do you have on the Park?
We have the Marine Sports Bar, Mariner's Club, Chip Shop, Sands Amusement Arcade, Launderette, Tropically heated indoor swimming pool, Mermaid's poolside snack bar, Shipwrecked toddlers indoor play area and multi court area.
Do you only sell new caravan holiday homes?

Located in beautiful North Wales , leave the A55 at Junction 27 Roundabout (St Asaph / Rhuddlan). Follow signs for Rhuddlan (A525). Follow the A525 over the next 3 roundabouts, at the 4 th roundabout turn left into Ffordd Derwen (between 2 pubs The Crown Bard and The Ffordd Derwen). Proceed to the end of this road and turn left at the Give Way sign. Marine Holiday Park is situated at the end of this road on the right hand side opposite Rhyl College .
If you travel by train, the train station is located only five minutes away and you can hire a taxi from outside the train station to bring you direct to Marine Holiday Park .
