Where is Marine Holiday Park?Marine Holiday Park is situated on the edge of the coastal town of Rhyl , in the heart of beautiful North Wales . With golden sandy beaches nearby, and various holiday attractions in and around the area including castles, gardens, and Snowdonia National Park , it is the perfect place for a holiday home.
How Large is the Park?Marine Holiday Park is regarded as a medium - large caravan park. We have approximately 500 caravans set in 30 acres
What facilities are there at Marine Holiday Park?Why not come and see our fantastic facilities for your self! We have a tropically heated indoor swimming pool, all weather multi-sports area, kids' adventure play area, & toddlers' 'Shipwrecked' indoor play. For those who wish to take things a little easy, there is the Marine Sports Bar, Mariner's Cabaret Lounge, & Sands Amusement Arcade. The poolside 'Mermaid' snack bar, and the traditional fish & chip shop provide meals & take-aways. There is also a well stocked mini mart and a launderette on the site for your convenience.
How Long is the Park's Season?The park is open to owners from 1 st March through to 10 th January. This is known in the industry as a 10 ½ months season.
How much do Caravans Cost?The cost of our caravans vary considerably, to suit all budgets. Prices start from as little as £6,995 for a pre-cherished caravan, and reach upwards of £49,000 for our top of the range latest models.
What makes and models do you sell?We sell a wide range of caravans produced by several manufacturers, including ABI , Atlas, BK Bluebird, Pemberton and Willerby. The range of caravans available changes all the time. Do you have any finance schemes?Yes. We can provide written quotations on request. When sourcing loans, we usually use, Black Horse Finance, Capital Bank or The Funding Corporation. Please contact one of our sales advisers for further details.
What insurance do I need?Marine Holiday Park requires all owners to have adequate insurance for their caravans. 99% of owners insure through the Park's preferred supplier, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Compass Insurance, who offer an excellent service at a competitive rate.
Or you can select your own insurers. If you follow this option, you will be required to provide the Park with a copy of your insurance documents each year.
How much are the annual site feeds?The 10 ½ months site fees for 2009 - 2010 are £2665, if the fees are paid in full on or before 1 st December. Alternatively, you can pay in two equal instalments of £ 1432.50 due by 1 st December & by 1 st March respectively.
What other costs will I incur?A payment of £470 to cover rates, and water rates, is to be paid on or before the due date of 1 st June
Safety checks are £45 each. Gas checks are required every year, and electric checks every three years.
Do you have bottled gas?Here at Marine Holiday Park we have invested in an underground gas supply direct to your caravan, so you do not have the inconvenience of sourcing heavy gas bottles.
Gas is currently charged on a quarterly basis at £65 per quarter.
Do you allow caravans on from other parks?Yes, we are happy to accept caravans from other parks, subject to certain conditions.

Is there an age limit on the caravans you allow on site?No. We allow caravans of any age, provided they are in good condition, and pass all the necessary safety checks.
Can I choose where my caravan is sited?Yes. When buying a caravan from us, or bringing one on from another park, you can choose a vacant plot you like subject to availability and suitability. |
Can I have decking / paving installed at my caravan?Yes, in most cases you will be able to have decking or paving installed. All works of this nature need to be conducted through the office, using approved suppliers only, to ensure compliance with Park rules and safety regulations.
Do I own the land that my caravan is pitched on?No, you do not own the land, but you do have the right to use the pitch as long as you pay your site fees, and abide by the Park rules.
Am I able to make my caravan my main residence?No, sorry. The Site Licence does not permit this. You must have an alternative place of residence. Am I allowed to stay in my caravan during the closed season?The Park Licence issued by the Local Council insists that we have a closed period as the Park is not for residential use. For this reason we are closed from 10 th January to 1 st March. You are welcome to come and check on your caravan during this time to make sure that everything is in order, but you are unable to stay overnight during this period.
Can my family & friends visit my caravan?Yes. As an owner you are allowed to have up to twelve named & photographed passes allocated to your caravan, so family and friends are welcome to come and use the Park facilities.
Do you allow pets on the park?As an owner you are welcome to bring your pets with you. We understand that pets are a part of your family. We ask that dogs are kept under control at all times, and that any fouling by the animal is cleaned up promptly.
We also suggest that it is a good idea to have an identity tag for your cat or dog in case the animal goes astray. You might also want to consider microchipping.
Can I earn an income from my caravan?Yes, Marine Holiday Park does allow you to either rent out your caravan privately, or join our guaranteed sub-letting scheme, which could earn you up to £4,500 in the first year.
Can we sell our caravan ourselves?Yes, but you must do so in line with the Code of Practice issued by the BH & HPA. You will also need to advise our sales team from the outset, as there are certain criteria that need to be met, and anyone who buys your caravan must be approved by one of the Park Directors.
Is there anything else we need to know about Marine Holiday Park ?Marine Holiday Park was taken over by Wyn & Samantha Williams in early 2007. Since then, there has been a vast programme of improvements undertaken, including a £250,000 refurbishment of the pool area, including the toddlers' 'Shipwrecked' indoor play area, the Mermaid's poolside snack bar, and an outdoor all weather multi sports area. This programme of improvements is continually ongoing. Marine Holiday Park is very much a family friendly Park. Look around, talk to existing owners, and see for yourself what a wonderful holiday park it is.
